Along with Miles Davis' Kind Of Blue, Somethin' Else is one of the seminal jazz releases of the late 50s and the hard bop era. Recorded in 1958, a year before Kind Of Blue, Adderley was still a member of Miles' sextet, having given up his own band in 1957. But Davis was happy to take billing as a sideman for one of his rare appearances for Blue Note in this all-star quintet.
Here are the two tracks on side 1 - Autumn Leaves and Love For Sale, from this 2016 subscription reissue.
(For a different take on Autumn Leaves, have a listen to Chet Baker's 1974 CTI version.)
