Desperado was written by Glenn Frey and Don Henley and first appeared on The Eagles' album of the same name in 1973. One of The Eagles most famous songs, it's been covered many times, and it appeared on the Carpenters' 1975 album Horizon.
The song shows off Karen Carpenter's distinctive contralto voice to full effect.
