This is the second outing for the 1985 Dire Straits album Brothers In Arms in my blog, having previously featured the track One World.
Money For Nothing was Dire Straits' most commercially successful song and was notable for having Sting on backing vocals (with a writing credit) and for having a groundbreaking video for featuring on MTV Europe's launch (see below).
For my little video, we have the first public outing for Graham Slee's new moving coil version of his Accession phono amp. Previous MC videos have used the moving magnet version with the Elevator step-up amp, but now the gain for MCs is provided within the Accession MC, cutting out additional interconnects and having circuits designed specifically for MC integrating closely with the two-stage EQ that is the Accession's patented hallmark.
