Judie Tzuke's fourth album, Shoot The Moon (1982), was the first of her two albums for Chrysalis - a label she had moved to to try and get better US distribution. It was also the last of her albums to achieve a UK top 20 position.
It's only just over a year since I posted some tracks from Sports Car, but a request from a You Tube viewer for more from Judie was all it took to get re-acquainted with Tzuke's clear vocals and appealing music.
Here are the last four tracks from side 2 - Late Again, Liggers At Your Funeral, Water In Motion and Shoot The Moon. In case, like me, you were wondering what a "ligger" is, well it's another term for a freeloader; someone who turns up to social events and suchlike for the food and any other freebies . . .

Late Again
Late again, you've forgotten me
I'm trying hard not to notice how the
Moments pass me by
Waiting out in the cold again
With every reason to wonder
If you meant to come at all
How was it meant to be (I am here)
Here where i said i'd be (where are you?)
I am always waiting here for you
And you're late again
Watch the time as it turns away
Any chance that you could arrive
Before I have to go
Left alone with the hurt again
And every reason to wonder why
You asked me here at all
How was it meant to be (I am here)
Here where i said i'd be (where are you?)
I am always waiting here for you
And you're late again
People running down the street i'm on
They all have somewhere to be
That clock still laughs at me... (where are you?)
(where are you?)
How was it meant to be (I am here)
Here where i said i'd be (where are you?)
I am always waiting here for you
And you're late again...
Liggers At Your Funeral
(The) television caught me tonlght
It didn't need to say a word
About the fact that you had died
And just that you might not be back
From somewhere you had been
In behind the television screen
How the run of old films begin
Tributes come and trlbutes go
Which ones were you in
And who am i to speak for you
When so much has been said
Is it true? You're really dead?
Liggers at your funeral
Appearing as you know them well
Oooh they come from miles around
To lay their lies and flowers down
(The) television caught me tonight
A little love lost on the night
The audience looked on
The mirror cracked, she's coming back
She's wearing black today
She'd be a fool to stay away
Stories by the old wives appear
They all get paid for being here
And watching from the wings
Do you get the chance to tell the truth
About what's being said
Or is it true you're really dead?
(The) television caught me tonlght
It didn't need to say a word
About the fact that you had died
And just that you might not be back
From somewhere you had been
In behind the television screen
Liggers at your funeral
Appearing as you know them well
Oooh they come from miles around
Water In Motion
You are water in motion
I'm the sun
As long as I'm shining
I know that your rivers will run
You are water in motion
I'm the sun
As long as I'm shining
I know that your rivers will run
There is a sound of thunder outside
I look out in time just to see you arrive
With that coat you always wear
And that book still in your hand
You think you've got the future planned
I don't know, I don't know
You are water in motion
I'm the sun
As long as I'm shining
I know that your rivers will run
I've heard evil thoughts from evil minds
They don't see your intentions as being good
For me
But I'll go anywhere my heart say's I must go
What I'm hoping for I don't know, I don't know
You are water in motion
I'm the sun
As long as I'm shining
I know that your rivers will run
We are flying together
Shaking the world from our wings
And as long as we're sailing
We'll see what the future will bring
You are water in motion
Shoot The Moon
Isn't there something that i can do
(far gone you've gone as I)
Isn't there love between me and you
(too much to ask of you)
Throwing all my options and see
which way
you turn
Isn't there something that i can do
(far gone you've gone as I)
Isn't there love between me and you
(too much to ask of you)
Throwing all my options and see
which way
you turn
