This 1978 recording of Japanese guitarist Shoji Yokouchi's trio with Yuri Tashiro's Hammond organ has acquired something of a cult status for it's sound quality - making it a go-to record for hi-fi demonstrations around the world.
Unlike a lot of "audiophile" records though, the musical quality matches the sound quality, with Yokouchi's inventive guitar a perfect foil for Tashiro's organ. Her organ style owes a lot to Jimmy Smith, but is none the worse for that.
This present issue is a limited edition release from Impex records, and I can't do better than point you to the review of this on Positive Feedback. The standout tracks for me are the three jazz standards that open side 1 - Wiillow Weep For Me, Moanin', and Misty.
A previous Impex jazz release I posted was Legrand Jazz.
