Music and Vinyl: Bartók - Ten Pieces from "Mikrokosmos"

One of my earliest videos was of Sardanas by Enric Morera on the opposite side of this record, with crisp brass playing and incisive recording on a 45rpm disc. The other major work on the record was ten pieces from Béla Bartók's Mikrokosmos - a collection of 153 piano pieces, ranging from simple to very difficult and complex.

Bartók had said that the pieces - especially the more complex ones - could be played on other instruments, and here we have arrangements for brass ensemble.
