Steps Ahead (originally just "Steps"), was formed in 1979 by vibraphonist Mike Mainieri and had a changing roster of artists over the course of the next decade or so. They played an eclectic mix of fusion, rock, jazz and R&B - often with electronics, and this 1984 outing - Modern Times - featured tenor player Michael Brecker.
Here are the opening two number of the album - Radio-Active, and Now You Know.
