Bax - Symphony No.6

Here we have the Sixth Symphony of Sir Arnold Bax, often regarded as his best. It was completed in 1935 and is dedicated to Sir Adrian Boult. It was the first Bax symphony recorded by Lyrita - in 1967 - and the only one conducted by Norman Del Mar.

Reviews on the Amazon website are notoriously unreliable, but for the CD reissue of this record there are some really knowledgeable and perceptive comments!
