This is the second video I've made of music from this 1966 HMV recording of Guildford Cathedral Choir, and this time it features four carols.
Two of the carols feature music by Peter Warlock, and the other two are traditional carols arranged by Ralph Vaughan Williams - who was an avid collector of folk and traditional music:
1. And all in the morning (traditional, from Derbyshire, arranged by Vaughan Williams)
2. Bethlehem Down (Blunt - Warlock)
3. Adam lay y-bounden (Anon - Warlock)
4. Wassail Song (traditional, from Yorkshire, arranged by Vaughan Williams)
Background to the record can be found in my earlier post about Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on Christmas Carols.
Happy Christmas!
