It's three years since I posted a track from Ali Farka Touré's album with Ry Cooder - Talking Timbuktu, so it was high time for some more music from the "desert blues" guitarist.
This time it's tracks from AFT's final album, Savane, released posthumously in 2006. Recorded in 2004 at a temporary studio set up in Bamako's Hôtel Mandé, Ali reckoned it was his best album.
