The music of Ralph Vaughan Williams is no stranger here. This time it's a lesser known choral work written for young singers with text from poems written by the composer's wife Ursula. A commission from The Schools Music Association, The Sons of Light had its premiere at the Royal Albert Hall in 1951 with a choir of over a thousand.
The sleeve notes, scanned below, describe the poems and the music.
