Jacques Ibert (1890-1962) has appeared here before, with Symphonie Marine. This time it is the rather enigmatic Tropismes Pour Des Amours Imaginaires. Not a great deal is known about this piece, composed in 1957. and not performed until after Ibert's death. It is in nine sections and may have been intended as a ballet.
