Clarinet virtuoso Eddie Daniels made his debut album for GRP records with this 1985 release featuring, on side two, a Concerto for Jazz Clarinet and Orchestra by Grammy Award winning Argentinian composer/arranger Jorge Calandrelli. The orchestra on the recording is called the London Philharmonia - maybe contractual reasons forbade the use of its proper name, The Philharmonia Orchestra,
Eddie Daniels is an artist equally at home in both the jazz and classical worlds (which brings to mind Benny Goodman). He has appeared here before with a track from a later GRP album.
